The 3M™ PELTOR™ ProTac III Headset MT13H221A is designed for professionals who need to stay protected from harmful noise while remaining aware of their surroundings. Featuring level-dependent environmental microphones, this headset allows users to hear ambient sounds like alarms, vehicles, and conversations—while automatically limiting hazardous noise to safe levels (max 82 dBA).

With a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 23 dB, the ProTac III is ideal for use in construction, mining, agriculture, law enforcement, and transportation. The voice-guided menu system simplifies operation, while the auto power-off feature conserves battery life by shutting down after 4 hours of inactivity. A 3.5 mm stereo input allows connection to external devices such as smartphones or radios for listen-only communication.

The electronics are housed in a separate compartment to reduce corrosion from sweat and moisture, and the headset is available in both headband and hard hat-mounted versions. Built for occupational use, it meets ANSI S3.19-1974 standards and supports fit testing via the 3M™ E-A-Rfit™ system.
